A delegation led by the Akim of the West Kazakhstan Region, Nariman Toregaliyev, visited the Republic of Korea on a working trip and held a series of business meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
First, a meeting with representatives of Korean businesses was organized at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Korea. During the meeting, Akim Nariman Toregaliyev highlighted the importance of such platforms for expanding cooperation between the two countries. He noted the geographical and economic advantages of the West Kazakhstan Region, the high transit potential of the region bordering the Russian regions of Astrakhan, Volgograd, Saratov, Samara, and Orenburg, and the favorable conditions created for foreign investors.
“Today, we arrived in the Republic of Korea with a special delegation from the West Kazakhstan Region. First of all, I would like to thank the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Korea, Nurgali Almasbayuly, for supporting this meeting! Attracting investment is one of our main priorities. Work has now begun with Korean investors in several areas. During this trip, we plan to hold concrete negotiations with companies interested in cooperation and to present the economic opportunities of our region,” said the Akim. He also noted the developing cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries.
The business meeting was attended by several major Korean companies — DL Co., Ltd. (DL GFRP), Daocle1, Flow & Buoyancy Hydroelectric Power Generation System, Manseung Energy, Global Defense / Defense Global Kazakhstan LLP. The parties discussed joint projects in industry, processing, agriculture, healthcare, ecology, and investment.
