Today in Ufa, Prime Minister Askar Mamin held talks with the head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov and took part in the Kazakh-Bashkir business forum. The parties discussed the current state and prospects of interaction in the context of further deepening the Kazakh-Russian strategic partnership.
The head of government noted the presence of significant potential for building up cooperation between Kazakhstan and Bashkiria in trade and economic, investment, transport and logistics, energy, agro-industrial complex, industrial cooperation and other areas. According to the results of 10 months of this year, the volume of trade between Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation increased by 30% and reached $ 19.5 billion.At the same time, there is progress in diversifying the trade structure - the volume of Kazakhstan's exports increased by 39.4%, including the volume of processed products - by 47.7%.
In January-October this year, the volume of trade between Kazakhstan and Bashkiria increased by 32.1% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 3,305 million. This figure is 10.3% higher than the level before the pandemic. In the coming years, the parties intend to increase the trade turnover to $ 1 billion. A. Mamin and R. Khabirov took part in the Kazakhstan-Bashkortostan business forum as part of the International Business Week 2021, which is taking place in Ufa. Also, reports were made by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy R. Muratov, Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov, representatives of large business of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Belarus. Within the framework of the forum, 8 investment and commercial contracts were signed in the fields of the chemical and textile industries, mechanical engineering, the agro-industrial complex, as well as consulting services in the oil and gas sector. One of the most important documents was the signed agreement between JSC "Caustic" and JSC "Bashkir Soda Company" on the establishment of a joint venture. Within the framework of the joint venture, projects with a total volume of up to $ 1 billion will be implemented in Kazakhstan and Russia. Production of caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite, chlorine, hydrochloric acid, titanium dioxide and other chemical products is ensured. The production of the only zirconium oxychloride in the CIS will also be launched. During his visit to Ufa, the head of government laid flowers at the monument to Salavat Yulaev, got acquainted with the experience of Bashkortostan in project management and social monitoring, and also talked via teleconference with Kazakh students studying in higher educational institutions of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
