The new procedure for crossing the Kazakh border during the period of quarantine restrictions was approved by the Interdepartmental Commission to prevent the spread of coronavirus on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Certain changes and concessions have been introduced for Kazakhstanis and foreign citizens traveling outside the country.
1. Citizens of Kazakhstan traveling to a funeral or to care for seriously ill family members and close relatives, such as spouses, parents, children, adoptive parents, adopted children, full and half brothers and sisters, grandfather, grandmother and grandchildren, if they have supporting documents, can cross border with your spouse and minor children.
2. Foreigners and stateless persons traveling to funerals and to care for seriously ill family members and close relatives, such as spouses, parents, children, adoptive parents, adopted children, full and half brothers and sisters, grandfather, grandmother and grandchildren, if there are confirming documents can cross the border together with their spouse and minor children.
Also, for foreigners and stateless persons, the list of relatives who can come to the territory of Kazakhstan has been expanded. In addition to parents, children, spouses, adoptive parents, adopted children, full and half brothers and sisters, grandfather, grandmother and grandchildren have been added. Cousins ​​and siblings are not eligible for these conditions.
In addition, foreigners are allowed to cross the border together with their spouse and minor children, but no more than once every 30 days.
